COA Formed To ‘Look After’ JKFA

SRINAGAR- A ten-member Committee of Administrators (CoA) has been formed to look after the affairs of J&K Football Association (JKFA), the committee members said in a press conference on Thursday.

Reportedly, the decision was made in a joint meeting on August 2, between members of JKFA, representatives of National & International Footballers Forum (NIFF) and prominent football promoters, was held in Srinagar.

The COA includes four members from JKFA and four members from NIFF, and will be headed by Bashir Ahmad Shah. Two members from Jammu and two sports promoters will be also be the part of committee. The COA members include:


  1. Bashir Ahmad Shah
  2. Nazir Ahmad Bhat
  3. Tariq Ahmad Madni
  4. Narinder Gupta


  1. Bashir Ahmad Malik
  2. Naseemul Gani Lone
  3. Manzoor Ahmad Dar
  4. Arun Pal Singh Jasrotia

Sports Promoters:

  1. Wasim Aslam
  2. Showkat Masoodi

According to the statement, it was decided in the meeting that all court cases against JKFA will be withdrawn for the betterment of the game once the COAs takes charge of football affairs of JKFA. It was further decided that to start with the COAs, JKFA will bring the constitution of JKFA in line with the AIFF Constitution followed by the elections in the districts and then the main body elections of JKFA.
