Woman Dies After ‘Slipping’ Into Well In North Kashmir’s Kupwara

Srinagar- A 34-year-old woman died after ‘slipping’ into a well in Cherkote area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Thursday.

News agency GNS quoting official sources reported that Tasleema Begum, wife of Mohammad Ramzan Peer, resident of Nadpora village Cherkote ‘slipped’ and fell into the well this morning, adding, she was rescued and taken to SDH Kupwara where the doctors declared her as brought dead on arrival.

Confirming the death of the woman a police official said though as per initial reports she slipped into the well resulting in her demise however we are still ascertaining how she actually fell into the well.
