SRINAGAR- The Jammu & Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) on Tuesday said that it has selected a women’s under-17 junior team for the upcoming National Football Championship set to take place at Guwahati, Assam in mid-June.
In a press release the JKFA stated, “J&K Football Association is deputing J&K Women’s U-17 Junior Football Team for participation in the upcoming National Football Championship scheduled to be held at Guwahati, Assam from 15th Jun to 27th June 2022.”
“In this connection the selected players of both the provinces attended 21 days Coaching Camp at TRC Srinagar from 25th of May to 14th of June 2022,” the JKFA statement added.
“The Screening of the team was done by Nusrat Gazala, Sports Officer (C) J&K Sports Council today the 14th of Jun 2022 (Tuesday) at Synthetic Turf TRC Srinagar. 20 girls from both the provinces of J&K UT were selected for participation in the Championship.”
“Nadiya Nighat will accompany the team as Coach and Dr. Ritasha Bharti as Physio,” the statement concluded.
