IED Recovered, Destroyed In J&K's Rajouri

Srinagar- Police and army on Saturday recovered an Improvised Explosive Devise (IED) on Rajouri Gurdan road.

Reports quoting officials said that police and Army launched a joint cordon and search operation in the area in the early morning hours following some suspicious movement.

A suspicious object was found alongside road which turned out to be an IED during examination, the official said. A Bomb Squad of police destroyed the object through a controlled explosion at a safer location, officials said.

‘A case has been registered and further investigations have been started,” the officials added.
