3-Day Int'l Conference On Artificial Intelligence Commences At IUST

Awantipora- Department of Food Technology, Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) Wednesday organized a three- day International Conference ‘Emerging trends based on artificial intelligence and Machine learning in Food Processing’.

Dean Research IUST Prof. A. H. Moon presided over the inaugural session of the conference and highlighted the advantages of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its use in food processing, how it can improve the food safety and reduce the human errors.

Speaking on the Occasion, Dean School of Sciences IUST Prof M. A. Khuroo who was the Guest of Honor congratulated the department for organizing the conference and highlighted the role of AI and ML in our daily lives.

Associate Deans Dr. Rumaan Bashir and Dr Aabid Hussain Shalla underlined the usefulness of such a workshop in the present times.

Dr. Tariq Ahmad Ganaie, Head-Department Food Technology during his welcome speech gave brief about the genesis of the workshop and welcomed all the participants. He also shared the various achievements of the department in the field of academics, research and industry placement.

The workshop is spread over a period of three days and the leading experts from across the globe shall share their work on application of AI and machine learning in food processing. Over 350 participants have registered for the workshop including academicians, scholars, industrial experts and students.

Dr. Aamir Hussain Dar, Assistant Professor in the Department of Food Technology presented vote of thanks to all the participants.
