Principal Suspended Over Alleged Misconduct

Srinagar- A day after schools reopened in the Valley after a long 31-month hiatus, the Directorate of School Education on Thursday suspended the Principal of a higher secondary school for his alleged failure to make prior arrangements directed by the government.

In an order issued here, the Director School Education Kashmir said that pending inquiry into his conduct by Chief Education Officer, Srinagar, Nazir Ahmed Khan, the Principal Boys Higher Secondary School (BHSS) Soura is placed under suspension with immediate effect and attached with the office of CEO, Srinagar.

Accordingly, the Principal Girls Higher Secondary School, Soura has been directed to hold the charge of BHSS Soura in addition to her own duties.

Director School Education further informed that a charge sheet shall follow subsequently.

“Further, Chief Education Officer Srinagar, shall conduct an inquiry into the matter within seven days and fix the responsibility on the other delinquent officers/officials of the institution.”
