J&K Sees More Recoveries, Less Covid-19 Cases

Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir witnessed recovery of 360 Coronavirus infected people on Monday, while 104 fresh cases of virus besides one fatality were reported across the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.

According to officials, 360 more Covid-19 patients recovered and have been discharged from various hospitals, including 173 from Jammu Division and 187 from Kashmir Division. During the same time, officials said, Kashmir reported 19 new cases of virus while the remaining 85 cases were detected from Jammu division.

In the Valley, officials said, Srinagar reported 12 new cases of Coronavirus, Baramulla 4, Anantnag 2 and Kupwara 1. No cases were detected in the six districts of Bandipora, Ganderbal , Kulgam, Shopian, Budgam and Pulwama in the Valley.

In the winter capital, officials said, Doda registered the highest 29 fresh cases of virus, Kishtwar 24, Jammu 13, Udhampur 12, Kathua 3, Rajouri 2 and one new case each in Samba and Ramban. The twin districts of Poonch and Reasi witnessed no new cases of Covid-19.

Also, officials said, the deadly infection claimed life of another person in Kashmir Valley thus taking the total number of fatalities since the outbreak of pandemic to 4747—2324 in Jammu division and 2423 in Kashmir.

The officials further said that no new cases of Mucormycosis were reported today, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 51 across J&K.
