Hockey J&K To Hold State Championship

JAMMU: Hockey J&K President Mr. Rajeev Sharma convened a meeting of Hockey clubs of Jammu, Kathua, Udhampur, Rajouri districts at KK Hakku stadium Jammu. The meeting was attended by the office bearers of the clubs.

Mr. Sharma assured the clubs all possible help to them to promote the activities of Hockey. He urged the clubs to start activities on war mode because already big loss is done due to different the reasons since 2019 and due to Covid -19 pandemic. He asked the member clubs to gear up and start registering players and officials on MU Portal of Hockey India because no unregistered player can participate in any championship organized by Hockey India. He further said that he will provide the assistant of expert for uploading the forms on MU Portal.

Earlier Dr. Taran Singh Secretary general of Hockey J&K informed the clubs that next few months will be the most busy period as Hockey J&K will organize state championships of different age groups. The District championships are already in progress. He stressed upon the club to step up practice to improve the performance at National level. He thanked Secretary J&K sports Council Ms. Nuzhat Gul for her whole hearted support to hockey in J&K.
