Srinagar: Residents, who said they were eyewitnesses to the shootout, alleged that the three persons were shot dead by vehicle-borne armed forces in broad daylight in front of them.
They alleged that the three boys were pushed out of a Santro car and shot dead on the road.
There are several videos viral on social media in which people can be seen gathered around a blood stained road under Rambagh flyover, accusing police of staging the shootout.
Earlier police said three unidentified militants were killed in a shootout in the Rambagh area of the city on Wednesday.
The militants were killed in a brief shootout near the Rambagh bridge on Lal Chowk-Airport road, they said.

They said the identity and group affiliation of the slain militants were being ascertained.
