Premier Division League: AG’s Win, 2nd Match Abandoned

SRINAGAR: The JKFA Khyber Premier Division League 2021 witnessed one of the two scheduled matchs played at the Synthetic Turf TRC, here.

In the first match, J&K Accountant General’s (AG’s) XI defeated Kashmir Maharaja FC 2-0. The AG’s squad scored two goals early in the first half and maintained the lead till the final whistle. Hanan of AG’s opened the scoring in the 16th minute with a splendid goal. Hanan then doubled AG’s lead in the 19th minute.

AG’s XI successfully managed to protect their 2-0 lead till the end. Kashmir Maharaja FC created goal scoring opportunities in both halves of the match but failed to find the back of the net. Hanan Tariq was awarded man of the match award for his match winning goals.

The second scheduled match of the Premier Division League was to be played between Kashmir Avengers FC and J&K Power Development Corporation (PDC) XI.

However, the match was abandoned due to poor light, even though Synthetic Turf has flood lights facility available.

Meanwhile, in the ongoing Srinagar A-Division Annual League Football Tournament 2021 one match of the second round stage was played at Gindun Ground Rajbagh, in which Seven Star FC and Haroon FC played a 2-2 draw.

The tournaments are being organised by the Jammu & Kashmir Football Association and the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council.
