Elderly Woman's Body Retrieved From Jhelum In Srinagar's Nawakadal

Rescue Operation in Jhelum

Srinagar- The body of an elderly lady from Abi Guzar area of Srinagar, who was missing from last three days, was retrieved from river Jhelum in Nawa Kadal on Thursday.

Official sources said that a 70-year-old lady identified as Rehti, wife of Abdul Aziz Kaloo of Abi Guzar went missing on Monday (October 11) evening.

They said that the family had expected that the lady has drowned following which a rescue operation was launched by SDRF and River Police Srinagar to trace her.

However, they said after three days, the body of the lady was retrieved from river Jhelum in between Safa Kadal and Nawa Kadal today morning. (KNO)
