AWANTIPORA: Prof. Alok Kumar Srivastava, President Designate Association of Food Scientists and Technologist (India) and Director Quality Control Lab, Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysore on Tuesday visited the Department of Food Technology, Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) here.
Dean Research and HOD Food Technology, Prof. H R Naik formally welcomed the guest.
Prof. Srivastava interacted with the faculty and visited IUST’s Food Testing Laboratory and other labs of the department. He appreciated the standard of infrastructure and other facilities that have come up at the department.
While interacting with faculty members, Prof. Srivastava discussed about the collaboration opportunities between the CFTRI Mysore and the Department of Food Technology IUST in the areas of trainings and placements.
While lauding the efforts and contribution of the IUST towards excellence in the Food Technology, Prof. Srivastava expressed the hope that the University shall continue to grow in other frontier areas of science and technology. In the end, Er Tariq presented formal vote of thanks.
