Cop Shot Dead In South Kashmir's Kulgam

Srinagar- Suspected militants shot dead a constable of Jammu and Kashmir Police in Wanpoh area of South Kashmir's Kulgam district on Friday.

Reports said that militants fired upon a police constable identified as Bantu Sharma son of Nathji near Shamford School in the district late afternoon.

He was shifted to nearby hospital in critical condition, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Sharma was presently posted in Railway police.

Medical superintendent GMC Anantnag Dr. Iqbal Sofi said that the cop was brought dead on arrival to the hospital.

Soon after the attack whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.  (With GNS Inputs)
