Blast At BJP Leader’s House, 5 Injured

Srinagar: Five family members of a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader were injured on Thursday in a mysterious blast in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, reports said.

According to reports, five family members of BJP leader Jasbir Singh, including children were injured on Thursday evening when a blast took place at their house in Khandli area of Rajouri district, reports said. The family was sitting in front of their house when the explosion occurred.

All the injured, reports said, were removed to the district hospital Rajouri for treatment.

According to news agency PTI, the incident occurred after militants lobbed a grenade at Singh’s house that exploded on the rooftop, they said.

Top police officials have rushed to the spot.

Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone, Mukesh Singh confirmed the incident to PTI.
