JKFA Professional League: J&K Bank XI, Hyderya Sports Register Wins

SRINAGAR: In the ongoing 1st Edition JKFA Professional League 2021 two matches were played on Saturday at the Synthetic Turf Ground, TRC in Srinagar.

The 3:00 pm kick off game played between J&K Bank XI and SCFA XI proved to be a one-sided affair as the dominant Bank XI side created goal-scoring opportunities from the first whistle. J&K Bank took the lead in the 4th minute of the match through Adnan. The youthful team of SCFA boys struggled to equalize but failed. In the 29th minute of J&K Bank XI doubled their lead via a sheer mistake from SCFA players. In the second half of the match, J&K Bank scored their third goal via Prem in the 71st minute. Adnan then added another in the dying moments of a match that proved to be an easy outing for the Bank XI side.

The match ended with J&K Bank defeating SCFA by 4 goals to nil. Adnan from J&K Bank was declared Man of the match.

In the second match, a 5:00 pm kick off, Hyderya Sports went head-to-head against Real Kashmir FC (Reserves). The game saw a penalty kick awarded to Hyderya Sports in the very 1st minute after a Real Kashmir player was deemed to have handled the ball. Gagan of Hyderya made no mistake from the penalty spot to give his side the lead.

The evenly balanced match enthralled the spectators as RKFC players tried their best to equalize. However, Hyderya Sports stood strong and managed to go into the second half with a 1:0 lead.

Real Kashmir (R) to their credit came out flying in the second half and managed to equalize the proceedings via a goal by Sahil. The Real Kashmir forwards made attempts at goal and were thwarted by the goal post. This woke up Hyderya Sports who also tried a beautiful shot at the RKFC goal, forcing the goalkeeper to make a brilliant save.

Both the Clubs won laurels from the spectators for their magnificent ball control, shooting and man to man marking. In the 85th minute Shahnawaz Bashir, Hyderya Sports FC club captain, made a superb attempt from midfield and scored what could be considered as the goal of tournament. Hyderya Sports held on their 2:1 lead till the final whistle. Shahnawaz Bashir of Hyderya Sports FC  was declared man of the match.

No matches are scheduled to take place today. The Professional League 2021 will resume on Monday with two matches set to be played. Lonestar Kashmir FC will take on Real Kashmir FC (R) at 3:00 pm kick off time. In the second match, Hyderya Sports FC will lock horns with Shaheen FC Jammu at 5:00 pm.
