Cop Injured After His Service Rifle Goes Off Accidentally In Shopian

Srinagar- A constable of Jammu and Kashmir Police was on Monday injured after his service rifle went off accidentally in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

An official said that a constable identified as Sajad Ahmad Malla received bullet injury on his foot after his service rifle went off accidentally in police vehicle.

He said that the police party from District Police Lines Shopian was on way to Kathulallan Keller area for practice fire.

He added that injured constable is undergoing treatment at district hospital Shopian and his condition is stated to be stable.
