Cop Among Three Held Along With Contraband Substances In Budgam

Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday arrested three persons including a police constable along with contraband substances in central Kashmir's Budgam district, officials said.

They said that 11 strips of banned drug Spasmoproxivan, 3 lathis of Charas and heroin from a vehicle bearing registration number DL5CN-1322.

The arrested persons have been identified as Constable Arshid Ahmad Dar, Son of Abdul Kabir Dar, resident of Farashgund posted at DPL Budgam, Riyaz Ahmad Mir, Son of Muzaffar Mir, resident of Budgam and Sajad Ah. Bhat, Son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, resident of Narkara Budgam, they said.

Meanwhile, Police have registered a case under FIR number 21/2021 under sections 8, 21 of NDPS Act in Police Station Budgam and further investigation has been initiated.
