Srinagar: Kashmir head cleric Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has for the seventh consecutive time been chosen among 500 most influential Muslim personalities across the globe by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre, Jordan.
As per a statement, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has been listed among the world’s 10 influential Muslim politicians for the seventh consecutive year by RISSC, Jordon.

Pertinently, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq continues to be under house arrest for more than 18 months.
Commenting upon the Mirwaiz, RISSC Jordan said that “He has been advocating dialogue with both India and Pakistan so that the aspirations of the Kashmiri people may be realised.”
