Srinagar: Jammu-Srinagar highway shall reopen for one-way traffic on Saturday after a day’s closure for maintenance on Friday, officials said.
“Tomorrow (January 30) subject to fair weather and better road condition only one way traffic shall be allowed from Srinagar towards Jammu including Banihal-Ramban (local traffic) on Jammu-Srinagar highway,” officials.
“No vehicle carrying even livestock or fresh perishable shall be allowed in the opposite direction,” they added.
Meanwhile, Mughal road, connecting Shopian and Poonch districts, also remained closed due to the snowfall. Srinagar-Leh highway was officially closed on the orders of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir on December 30.
