CIK Raids Waheed Para’s Residence, Other Locations

Srinagar- A team of Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK), wing of Jammu and Kashmir police Wednesday carried out raids at different locations including the residence of PDP youth president Waheed Para.

An official said that CIK sleuths accompanied by a team of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and police conducted searches in Anantnag, Pulwama and Srinagar districts of Kashmir valley.

He said that the house of one Umar Wani resident of Anantnag, Ghulam Nabi of Seer Anantnag and residence of jailed PDP youth leader Waheed ur Rehman Para were searched in south Kashmir.

He said in Srinagar district the searches were carried at the residence of Dr Mir Samiullah, owner of Star hospital, in Hyderpora area besides the residence of Ghulam Nabi Dar, a resident of Malangpora Pulwama at present in Batwara area of Srinagar.

“Many important documents were seized in these raids and the case is related to militancy funding and further details about this case will be shared later,” he added.  (With KDC inputs)
