Budgam: Family members of the three men from Budgam district who were arrested by the Delhi Police’s Special Cell a few days ago held a demonstration here in Budgam on Saturday during a BJP election rally. They were demanding release of their kin who they insist are innocent.
According to news agency Kashmir Dot Co- (KDC) the family members of the three men, who have been arrested by Delhi Police Special cell for their alleged links with ISI and Khalistani groups, held a protest while BJP rally was on at Bus stand Budgam. National general secretary BJP, Tarun Chug, Union MoS Anurag Thakur and spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain were addressing this public rally here.
The family members mostly women assembled at the spot and raised slogans of- Delhi Police “Hai Hai”, “we want justice” and “our sons are innocent”.
“The Delhi Police can verify the records of all the three persons through the Jammu and Kashmir Police and other government agencies. They are not involved in any illegal activities,” they said in front of BJP’S top leadership.
They said the Delhi Police Special Cell has “implicated them in a false case without justifying their involvement in any militant activity”.
The protesting family members said they want the higher ups to intervene in the matter to secure release of their kin.
Shabir Ahmed Gojri, Reyaz Ahmed Rather, and Muhammad Ayub Pathan, all residents of Budgam district were arrested on 7th of this month along with two Sikh men in New Delhi for their alleged links with ISI and Khalistani groups.
