Srinagar: Police on Saturday arrested three persons for their alleged role in pasting posters and displaying banners of militants in Pampore town of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Nadeem Ahmad Dar and Irshad Ahmad Sofi, both residents of Pampore and Shakir Ahmad Dar Sopore were arrested by a joint team of police and army’s 50 RR on Saturday for glorifying militancy by pasting posters and displaying banners of militants in Pampore town on September 6, a police spokesperson said.
Police, he claimed recovered incriminating material including, 2 Computer systems with accessories and 1 printer from a printing press namely Rampage Advertising Agency Rengreth here.
“Case FIR No.75/2020 under relevant sections of law stands registered. Further investigation is going on,” the police spokesperson added
Militant Associate Held In Tral: Police
Meanwhile a report from Tral said Police on Saturday arrested a civilian, it claimed was a militant associate, from Tral area of south Kashmir.
Adil Ahmad Hajam of Ratsuna Tral was arrested by police for his involvement in providing shelter, logistics, transportation and other support to the active militants operating in the area, a police spokesperson said.
He said incriminating materials recovered from his possession have been taken seized to probe his complicity in other crime cases.
“A case FIR No. 72/2020 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Tral and further investigation has been initiated in this regard,” the police spokesperson added.
