Srinagar- Suspected militants carried out two grenade attacks on government forces in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday.
A senior Police officer said that militants’ lobbed grenade in Bonbazar area of the south Kashmir township this morning followed by firing on forces, however in this incident no loss of life or injury has been reported.
Soon after the attack, government forces cordoned off the area to nab the attackers. However, when the search operation was in progress, militants hurled another grenade towards the state forces, a police official told local news agency GNS.
However, no one was injured in the attack.
The search operation was in progress in the area when the last reports came in.
