When Masked Are Respected and Unmasked Looked Down

We are now living in an era where the mask is part of our lifestyle. There have been various shifts in our ways of living from time to time such as from traditional to modern, from theoretical to practical, and from open face to a masked one and so on. There is one thing associated with all these concepts & shifts i.e advancement & Literally the mask has been a notion that is allied with the personality. The Greek actors used to wear it to conceal their identity.

The mask which we people wear nowadays is unalike the mask that the Greek actors used to wear. Today’s mask as a concept is allied with the well being of the people i.e to ward off virus. This shift is unlike past. This shift has added one more product to our basic needs i.e food, air, water, and now a mask. We have now set foot on in such an era where we can’t perhaps live without a mask.

The document published by World Health Organisation on 06 April 2020 advices us on the use of masks in communities, during home care, and in health care settings and in areas that have reported cases of COVID -19. The document further suggests that the two main routes of the transmission of the Covid-19 virus are respiratory droplets &  contact. The mask as per the WHO document thus plays a very important role in the prevention of viral diseases &  points out the need for the use of masks.

Here it was first the district administration Srinagar which made wearing face masks mandatory in all public places from May 1, 2020. Similarly, the same order was issued by the district administration Budgam on May 03, 2020. A moment of appreciation. Now I must also include that If we are going to travel anywhere in our country or elsewhere, wearing a mask is mandatory.

Without a mask, we are not going to go anywhere. Without a mask, we are stuck in our home & without a mask, we can be fined also. Without a mask, we may infect others and pose a threat to the lives of others. The mask is now related to the healthy personality of an individual because without a mask we are now not a good human being. The phrase health is wealth is now also corresponding with the mask. A masked person is now seen as safer than a un-masked one.

As a good human being and a responsible citizen it is now compulsory for us to wear a mask. Because mask fortifies us from the viral diseases. Mask now helps us to survive. Mask is now a basic need just like food, water, air, etc. We are now obliged to be habitual of wearing a mask. We should encourage people around us to wear a mask.
