SRINAGAR A day after family of pro-independence leader Muhammad Yasin Malik expressed concern about his deteriorating health condition inside the jail, Hurriyat Conference (M) said that the media reports that have come to fore through the family members of Malik have raised alarm among the masses across Kashmir.
Hurriyat in a statement said that the family members and the people of Kashmir are worried about Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) leaders well being. Malik is already suffering from multiple ailments and denying him proper medical treatment can pose a threat to his life which amounts to brazen violation of human rights and the jail manual.
The amalgam appealed the international organizations including UNHRC, Amnesty International, Asia Watch, and others to use their good offices to ensure the safety and proper medical care for of the detained Kashmiri leaders.
Meanwhile JKLF also expressed concern over the deteriorating health condition of jailed party chairman in Tihar Jail, Delhi.
Keeping Yasin Malik in a solitary confinement and depriving him of his basic human rights is actually the tactics of political vendetta Indian authorities are treading upon, JKLF statement said.
