Youth Killed In Scuffle Over Water Between 2 Villages In Shopian

SRINAGAR —  A youth was killed in a scuffle over water between two villages on Monday in south Kashmir district of Shopian. Official sources said that a heated argument took place between two villages in Shopian on Monday over distribution of irrigation water.

“The argument escalated, resulting in a scuffle, resulting in injuries to a person,” they said.

They said the injured was rushed to a hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

“Police has registered a case and initiated investigation into the incident,” they added.
