SRINAGAR Militants on Tuesday lobbed a grenade on the back side of Central Jail Srinagar but there was no injury in the incident.
Official sources that the militants hurled the grenade on forces bunker guarding the Central Jail in Rainwari area. However, there were no reports of any injury in the explosion.
A police official said that investigations have been launched to ascertain the nature of the blast.
Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) has claimed responsibility of the grenade on the CRPF personnel stationed at the Central Jail Srinagar.
A JeM spokesperson Mohammad Hassan in a statement issued to GNS said the grenade blasted inside the Central Jail in which several personnel were injured.
Earlier, militants hurled the grenade on forces bunker guarding the Central Jail in Rainwari area.
