SRINAGAR The Awami Action Committee Tuesday said that the historic Jamia Masjid in Srinagar was shut 16 times in 2018 and Muslims were barred from offering congregational Friday prayers at the grand mosque. The AAC said that the Hurriyat Conference (M) chairperson and Kashmirs chief cleric Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was placed under house detention for more than 120 days.
