SRINAGAR The separatist conglomerate, Hurriyat Conference (M), Friday warned of hitting the streets in an agitation if the mass killings and anti-Kashmir policies are not stopped by New Delhi.
The amalgam denounced the imposition of undeclared curfew in various parts of south Kashmir and Srinagar as well as the sealing of Jamia Masjid and barring congregational Friday prayers for the 16th Friday this year and third in a row.
A Hurriyat (M) spokesperson in a statement strongly protested the caging of its chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq at his Nigeen residence and said that these oppressive measures are the worst form of dictatorial approach on part of the government.
He said that anti-Kashmir regime doesnt only trample the social and political rights of people, but also the religious rights as well.
If these anti-people policies continue to remain in place, people will be left with no option other than to hit the streets in protest, he said.
The amalgam paid tributes to eight armed youth who were killed in different gunfights across Kashmir over the past 24 hours, saying that the worst ever state terrorism is on a full display under which Kashmiri youth are selectively killed.
Everyday bloodbath in Kashmir is the direct outcome of the lingering Kashmir dispute and Delhis stubborn and military approach, Hurriyat said.
Meanwhile, a massive protest rally was taken out at Eidgah after Friday prayers against the ultimate oppression unleashed in the past one month.
On the call of JRL, the amalgam said that massive rallies were held in various parts of Kashmir after Friday prayers.
At Eidgah, the protest was led by senior amalgam leader Muhammad Shafi Khan, Mushtaq Sofi, Sahil War, Farooq Ahmed Saudagar, Muhammad Yousuf Bhat and others, the statement said.
