SRINAGAR Anjuman Sharie Shiayan Saturday asked the state administration to put in place a proper mechanism to ensure that people do not face any inconvenience in view of the ongoing Muharram-ul-Harram.
A Shia delegation described the arrangements as lip service with no arrangements made for the mourners. It asked the concerned officer to put in place all possible means to ensure smooth and peaceful conduct of Muharram mourning by providing essential commodities, uninterrupted power, drinking water supply, medical care and other basic necessities in Shia-dominated areas.
They also appealed people to maintain peace and brotherhood and dont give chance to vested interest elements to disturb atmosphere.
