SRINAGAR After adducing a policeman’s son on Wednesday from Tral area in south Kashmirs Pulwama district, militants on Thursday evening abducted kith and kin of other policemen from the same region, officials said.
Police sources said militants barged into the house of a policeman in Midoor village and took away his son.
“Militants abducted Nasir Ahmad Mir, son of Ghulam Hassan Mir, a policeman. A manhunt has been launched to trace the militants,” said a police source.
The militants allegedly also abducted Zubair Ahmad Bhat S/o Policeman Mohd Maqbool Bhat
R/o Arawani; Arif Ahmad Sankar, Brother of SHO Nazir Ahmad, R/O Arwani Bijbehara
Faizan Ahmad Makro S/O Policeman Bashir Ahmad Makro R/O Kharpora Kulgam, Sumar Ahmad Rather S/O Poliveman Ab.Salam Rather R/O Yamrach Yaripora Kulgam, Gowher Ahmad malik brother of Aijaz Ahmad, a DSP from Katapora kulgam and 2 more brother’s of Policemen Nazir Ahmad Inspector (CID) of Arwani .
On Wednesday, militants abducted Asif Ahmad Rather, son of another policeman, from Pinglish village in Tral area.
Following the abduction of Rather, college mates of the victim and his mother appealed to the militants not to harm him.
