GANDERBAL— The District Bar Association Ganderbal Monday held a sit on protest in Beehama chowk Ganderbal protesting against the threats to Article 35-A.

The President District Bar Association Ganderbal said that “the ties of J&K with India automatically comes to an end in case Article 35-A is tampered in any way.”

“Such special status even is enjoyed by other states of India including Sikkim and Himachal Pradesh but for only political gains some unscrupulous persons are creating unrest by filing of such useless petitions with nefarious designs to destroy the very fabric of brotherhood among the Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians and Buddhists of the state and to divide the people of state on communal basis,” he added.

“But all the State subjects of the state irrespective of their cast, creed, religion and colour have joined hands together in order to protect the article 35-A.” he said.
