Cop Shoots Colleague After Altercation

SRINAGAR — A policeman was injured after his colleague fired at him after a heated argument at Police Station Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday.

The incident triggered panic among the police personnel present, who took it for a militant attack.

Reports said the personal security officer of SHO Bijbehara fired multiple rounds after heated argument with his colleague.

An official said that a policeman, identified as Sikander, sustained injury in his foot.

He has been hospitalised, said the official.
