Three Infiltrators Killed: Army

SRINAGAR — Army on Wednesday claimed to have foiled an infiltration bid by killing three militants near the Line of Control (LoC) in Machil sector of Kupwara district in north Kashmir.

Official sources said that a gunfight broke out between militants and the troops of 17 JAK manning the fence at Khanabal area near Roshni Post in Machil sector today early morning.

Army’s Srinagar based defence spokesperson Col Rajesh Kalia said that the infiltration bid was foiled in Machil sector.

“Three infiltrators were killed and the search operation in the area is going on,” he said.

Sources said that the bodies of the militants has been recovered along with as many weapons and other arms and ammunition.
