Atinders lone goal takes Real Kashmir closer to second round

SrinagarReal Kashmir Football Club continue to impress in the second division I-League, registering yet another win on Wednesday to keep their hopes of making it to the second round alive. The latest win came against United Delhi Football Club on Real Kashmirs home turf at Synthetic Turf, TRC Ground Srinagar thanks to a lone goal from in-form striker Atinder Mani.

A 1-0 win takes Real Kashmir Football Club to the second position in their group and they are within touching distance of reaching the second round.

In a game that was punctuated with missed opportunities both the teams lacked finishing touches to convert their solid moves into goals. Forward lines of both the sides kept mounting pressure on their opponents defence units but couldnt breach them to get off the mark.

It was Atinder Mani though who stunned the visitors with a solitary yet decisive goal of the match to have his side take the lead which couldnt be scaled down by United Delhi Football Club. A goal from the local team brought and joy and jubilation among the home fans who had come in decent numbers to cheer for the Srinagar-based side.

Real Kashmir Football Club are yet to taste defeat in the season having secured nine points thus far thanks to three victories.

On contrary, Kashmirs another club Lone Star Kashmir Football Club plying their trade in the league are having a tough time this season, unable to script a single victory which has virtually put them out of the race for qualifying into the second round.
