Kashmir physio earns Deodhar Trophy gig


Srinagar—Jammu and Kashmir’s prominent physio Aijaz Chiloo has been appointed as part of India B supporting staff in Deodhar Trophy. One of the premier domestic limited overs’ cricket, Deodhar Trophy is an annual affair with top performers in domestic cricket given an platform to showcase their skills.

BCCI announced India A and India B squads Thursday alongwith support staff. Chiloo has found his place in India B which will be lead by Indian batsman Shyres Iyer.

Chiloo has been associated with senior Jammu and Kashmir cricket team for last four years as a physio earning good reviews from players and coaches alike.

Chiloo is one of the few BCCI qualified physio from the state and his elevation to India B will do his confidence and CV a world of good.

Cricket fraternity was happy over Chiloo’s appointment.

“He has been there from a long time. He is a very professional and experienced.” said a senior cricketer.

“It is a very joyful movement for J&K cricket. His inclusion is a boost for upcoming physios of J&K cricket. It will help us developing more professional physios in the state.” he added
