Govt sabotaging resistance movement: Mirwaiz

SRINAGAR: A meeting of district, tehsil and Halqa heads of Jammu Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC) was held at the party’s headquarters at Mirwaiz Manzil, Rajouri Kadal today which was presided over by the party chief and All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Chairman, Mirwaiz Dr. Muhammad Umar Farooq.

Senior AAC leaders, office bearers, district presidents, tehsil presidents from all the districts of the state, in particular from the districts of Kashmir valley including Srinagar, Budgam, Islamabad, Kulgam, Baramulla, Bandipora, Kupwara, Shopian, Ganderbal and Pulwama attended the meeting and held deliberations on political situation in the state as well as the ongoing resistance movement while exchanging ideas on how to make the movement strong.

In his presidential address, the Mirwaiz while denouncing the government tactics of trying to sabotage the ongoing resistance movement by committing worst atrocities, arbitrary arrests and harassment of the people besides indulging in gross human rights violations said that the PDP-BJP coalition was furthering the agenda of the extremist rightwing parties of India by adopting all undemocratic and inhuman measures to change the disputed.
