SrinagarJoint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, and Muhammad Yasin Malik on Tuesday called for complete shutdown on Wednesday to protest against the killing of three civilians in firing by government forces.
The JRL, in a press statement, said that the Kashmir has been turned into a killing field where the lives of men, women and even children are not safe.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has been placed under house arrest.

The brutal killings of Misra Bano and Asif Iqbal of Kupwara, Ruby (beauty) Jan of Shupian and Zahid Ahmad who was killed in Rajasthan India, clearly show that Indian army, occupational forces and police are here only to kill Kashmiris and pro-India politicians are deployed to provide legal shield to these killers, they said, adding that Kashmiris cannot and will never remain silent on this genocide and will observe a total shutdown on Dec 20 to protest against this growing Indian aggression.
Restrictions In Parts Of Srinagar Today
The district administration Srinagar has decided to impose restrictions in Srinagar areas falling under the jurisdiction of seven Police Stations on Wednesday.
As per the officials in the district administration, the restrictions will be imposed in Srinagar areas falling under the jurisdiction of seven Police Station including Ràinawari, Nowhatta, Khanyar, M.R.Gunj, Safakadal, Maisuma, Kralkhud.
They informed that unlike other six, the areas falling under Kral Khud Police Stations will remain under partial restrictions.
The restrictions will be imposed as a precautionary measure, they said.
