SrinagarThe ruling Peoples Democratic Party on Saturday said that the leadership qualities of Tasaduq Hussain Mufti could be gauged by the fact that he got nominated for legislature not by the party alone but by the cabinet jointly ruled by the coalition of PDP-BJP.
The Party General Secretary Nizam-u-din Bhat told KNS that when Tasaduq Mufti made formal entry into the PDP, his admission was applauded by thousands of workers and common masses because of his leadership skills and pro-people efforts.
There are no two opinions about the fact that Mr. Tasatuq is an honest and upright person with very fare educational background and resolve to get the state out of uncertainty and chaos, Bhat told KNS.
The PDP General Secretary said that Tasaduqs nomination by the cabinet is ample proof of the fact that his qualities are hailed not alone by the PDP but by the BJP as well and his entry into the States upper house will prove helpful for State overall development.
He has been already hailed across the State for his role as the coordinator in Chief Ministers grievance cell and people are optimistic that he will use his abilities in providing a sigh of relief to the perturbed people of the State, Bhat said.
Meanwhile, the ruling PDP seems euphoric about the induction of Tasaduq Hussain Mufti in the state cabinet- hoping that such a measure would in a long way prove fruitful for the party to regain the lost ground.
The recommendation of the state cabinet for the nomination of Tasaduq Mufti the son of PDP patriarch and former two time Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has reached Raj Bhawan Jammu for the approval of Governor N N Vohra on Saturday. The top-notch cinematographer will be first nominated as MLC and then expected to hold a vital cabinet portfolio.
The PDP insiders believe that such measure has been taken by the party keeping in view the appeal Tasaduq posses as a young, charismatic leader. There are no tow opinions about the fact that south Kashmir has been a strong fort for the PDP and chief minister Mehbooba Mufti has a strong base in the region. Tasaduqs induction will prove fruitful for the party because masses especially youth identify with him as the son of late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, a senior PDP leader told KNS.
They believe that Tasaduqs induction in the cabinet port folio will help in resurrecting the partys image.
Another PDP veteran divulged that besides the chief minister Mehbooba Mufti, Tasadaq in future is going to be the face of the party and his clean image will strengthen the party base. He is honest and upright. Cheerful and appealing. He has vital plans for the states overall development and has been a successful coordinator of chief ministers grievance cell. Him being a minister will send a clear message to the masses that this government is for youth and for their uplliftment, says the PDP leader.
It was informed further that as the chief minister is unable to meet the party base in Valley due to her hectic schedule, Tasdauq could well be capable to fill the void. You need to have a face of the party. Tasaduq will be the one and workers and party functionaries connect well with him, PDP insiders said. (KNS)
