SrinagarA number parents of children studying in DPS Budgam, on Tuesday said that bookseller designated by the school declined to pay cash memo against Rs 3040 charged for books of 1st standard.
I paid Rs 3040 for books of my child who is in 1st standard. On asking for cash memo, the supplier namely Book Bazar who is at present in DPS Budgam, refused it, one of the parents told Kashmir Observer.
I feel something fishy in the system. While I feel Rs 3040 is too much for book for class 1stbut the bookseller cannot deny it, he said. At-least four other parents also made a similar complaint and urged the authorities to look into it. Bookseller named by the parents could not be contacted for his version.
