SrinagarExpressing serious concern over moving of incarcerated resistance leader and its chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah to solitary confinement in the infamous Tihar jail, Delhi, the Democratic Freedom Party has warned the government of India of dire consequences if anything happened to the ailing leader who is continuously denied suitable medical assistance despite repeated court directions.
Shabir Ahmad Shah has developed heart ailment and has been shifted from cell No. 7 to cell No. 1 in Tihar jail in a very critical condition.
His family members who met him two days back have informed the party that Shabir Shahs health has deteriorated to a very serious level and he needs to be admitted at some reputed hospital like AIIMS so that his sensitive ailments are treated without any further delay.
Shabir Ahmad Shah who is facing brunt of the government of India only for his political stance on Kashmir dispute has been left at the mercy of God and even the judiciary and Indian media has turned deaf ears towards him.
The deteriorating health of Shabir Shah during his continuous incarceration is the cause of worries for his family, party members and a large count of his admirers.
It is therefore appealed to the concerned world forums and the Indian civil society to contribute in providing medical assistance to the Prisoner of Conscience by stressing upon the government of India.
The Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Party has once again expressed solidarity with its incarcerated leader, Shabir Ahmad Shah and said that the politics of oppression and hate can lead to nowhere.
