SrinagarLate JKLF chief commander Hameed Sheikhs father Abdul Kabir passed away on Thursday evening.
A resident of Sidiqabad, Batmaloo area of Srinagar, Kabir Chacha as he was fondly called was jailed under the Public Safety Act for over two years in 1990.
Hameed was killed in November 1992 along with seven other JKLF members when BSF troopers fired on them when they were crossing the Jhelum River in a boat in Jamalatta area of old Srinagar city.
