SrinagarSSP Traffic City Srinagar, Tahir Saleem Khan has appealed to the parents to verify norms of vehicles used for ferrying school going children.
He urged parents to demand a valid driving license of the driver, adequate seating capacity of the vehicle, 05 years of driving experience of the driver, First Aid Box inside the vehicle, fire extinguisher inside the vehicle, adequate space for keeping school bags and to ensure the vehicle is painted yellow.
According to SSP, yesterday, it was found that some of the vehicles ferrying students were found in contraversion of the MV Act and thus dangering the life & safety of the school going children.
