Anantnag SPO Shot At Point Blank

Anantnag—Suspected militants on Thursday shot at and injured a Special Police Officer (SPO) of Jammu and Kashmir Police in Anantnag district of south Kashmir.

As per the eyewitnesses, a police man who was regulating traffic outside DC office Anantnag was shot at by suspected militants at point blank range. He was immediately shifted to nearby hospital where doctors referred him to Srinagar hospital for special treatment.

Reports said that militants managed to escape from the spot, even government forces launched search operation to nab the suspected militants.

A police official identified the wounded cop as Rambir Singh of Ashmuqam village of Anantnag district.
