Our Chief Engineer main cause for impediment of progress, prosperity: JKEEU

Srinagar—A meeting of J&K Electrical Employees Union JKEEU was held under the Chairmanship of Mir Abdul Salam Rajpuri, at Basant Bagh Head Office to discuss various vital issues regarding welfare of department and employees.

According to JKEEU in a statement, during the meeting very poor performance/ functioning of EM&RE Wing were highlighted.

“It was raised in a single voice that prevailing aggregate dispense of Direction office under the realm of present Chief Engineer is main cause for the impediment of progress and prosperity of the Wing. She is acting as monarchist rather a Chief Engineer and is simply enjoying her position by elapsing her time in un-necessary ways by hampering the progress of Department. Her continuance in the Wing shall yield nothing but will soon become the root cause for abysmal position of department,” JKEEU said.

The statement reads though JKEEU has met the officer on chair several times to discuss these issues and has also suggested many steps regarding the growth and prosperity of the Department but it seems that all these suggestions have fallen in the deaf ears, despite her assurance.

“In normal fashion public resentment caused due to unstable Power supply to general public is being faced by the Lower field staff particularly by maintenance Divisions supervised by EM&RE Wing Kashmir despite of the fact that problem is actually beyond their control,” they said.

The JKEEU in its earlier proposals has strongly urged cooperation among the lower field staff and supervisory/ management staff, but the repeated unaccustomed behavior of Supervisory staff is leaving the Lower staff exclusively to face the wrath of General public which will definitely cause into their poor performance in respect of maintaining Power supply as well as in Revenue Realization.

“The authorities particularly in EM&RE Wing Kashmir are required to maintain the sincere cooperation among the different categories of staff, so as to genuinely fight for cause of Department,” the Union said.
