It refers to shocking incident of October 15 exposed by a TV news-channel as late as on 07.11.2017 where Indigo Airlines guilty of hiding the shocking incident of ground staff of Indigo Airlines collectively mercilessly beating almost to death an elderly passenger Rajiv Katiyal (Chennai-Delhi flight 6E-487) in full day-light before co-passengers, instead of taking some severe action against its beating staff instead terminated service of its whistle-blower employee Montu Kalra for taking video of the incident on his mobile for submitting to Indigo management. It is even more disgusting that police-authorities and officers of airport-management at Indira Gandhi International Airport (New Delhi) and Directorate General of Civil Aviation also failed to take any concrete action on the incident at least till exposure of the incident on electronic media after 23 days of the incident.
Directorate General of Civil Aviation should immediately suspend all operations of Indigo Airlines till its owner comes with a televised public apology and suspends all its senior officers including Aditya Ghosh for hiding the incident, not taking instant action against the beating staff, and instead suspending its whistle-blower staffer Montu Kalra for taking video of the incident for sharing with Indigo management. It is clear that Montu Kalra did not share video with media or outsider at least till his termination from service. Delhi Police should file criminal case under section 304 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) for culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
