SrinagarThe employees of the Department of Information & Public Relations ended their strike on the second day of their strike which they observed against the attachment order of Joint Director Information Kashmir.
Minister for Information & Public Relations, Chowdhary Zulfikar Ali termed the strike uncalled for and which is unjustifiable and without any merit. This strike is uncalled for and unjustified. We will enquire and law will take its own course if any official found guilty, he was quoted as saying.
The Director Information, Muneer-ul-Islam meanwhile urged the protesting employees to resume their work assuring them that their genuine demands would be taken up for redressal at the appropriate quarters.
Following the assurance of the Director Information, the protesting employees decided to end the strike partially by resuming the PR work in the Department from this evening.
