GanderbalA woman died after she was allegedly thrashed by her husband in Ganderbal district.
Family members of the woman alleged that Sakeena was thrashed by her husband Mohammad Maqbool over some minor issue at their residence in Prang, Kangan in Ganderbal district.
She was immediately taken to Sheri Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Srinagar, where she succumbed to her injuries, a police official said.
The police have registered a case and initiated investigation.
Maqbool has been taken into custody for questioning, the official said, adding that her body has been sent for a postmortem.
