DDC Shopian inaugurates cleanliness event at BHSS Shopian

Shopian— District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian Mohammad Aijaz Asad Thursday inaugurated a Cleanliness event at Government Boys Higher Secondary School Shopian under ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ programme.

The DDC was accompanied by Chief Education Officer, Deputy Chief Education Officer, officers and officials of the education department.

Headed by Chief Education Officer later a rally was also taken out which was joined by the local population and school children.

On the occasion, the DDC said that the aim of visiting the institute is to carry forward the nation-wide sanitation campaign which started on September 15 to every educational institute of the district. He urged upon the local to be the part of this campaign and keep households and surroundings clean and free from polythene.

The DDC while addressing the students asked them to carry the message of keeping surrounding clean to their homes.
