NEw DelhiInclusive working atmosphere for its Differently-abled employees has been a tradition on Northern Railway. Various welfare schemes and a dedicated grievance redressal centre are also in place for the benefit for the Divyang employees. A workshop was organized in New Delhi by the Central Staff Benefit Committee to educate the Divyang employees about their rights in view of the New Disability Act 2016, today i.e., 08.09.2017.
The forum was presided over by the Shri Angraj Mohan, Chief Personnel Officer, NR, and Chairman CSBFC. Chief Personnel Officer (Administration) and representatives of various recognized Unions and associations were present in the workshop. Addressing the gathering Shri Angraj Mohan appraised about the facilities and benefits being extended to the Divyangjan. He emphasized his commitment for speedy implementation of Policies and Acts at par with DoPT and Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
The workshop was attended by different catogaries of Divyang employees which included, Visually impaired, Hearing impaired and Locomotor impaired participants from all workshops and Divisions of Northern Railway. A booklet and a Braille book having all circulars and disability Act was also distributed.
